Settle your nervous system.
Come home to your body.
Heart-centred craniosacral therapy in Totnes.
A calm, grounded space to rest, regulate, and reconnect.
Why this work matters
Craniosacral therapy is a non-invasive, touch-based therapy that allows the body to settle, realign, come home to its natural rhythms. A therapist meets the whole person just as they are, and facilitates healing that goes beyond the present symptoms. Over time, CST allows deeper patterns that shape how we live in our bodies to shift. The whole system is given space and support to rest, rest and reorganise.
Perhaps you are carrying stress - recent, past or ancestral. The body has a way of accumulating the weight of responsibilities and life pressures over time. It adapts, braces and, more often than you might realise, it holds on.
When we stay present and allow the body to feel safe and give it time, truly meaningful shifts can happen – sometimes subtly, other times much clearer and visible.
Craniosacral Therapy offers a slow, soft, attentive space where the nervous system can begin to unwind and reorganise
Over time this will inevitably translate into greater ease, resilience and clarity in life
Craniosacral Therapy is for you if you are:
- Living with ongoing stress or pressure
- Feeling wired, tired, or unable to fully switch off
- Carrying responsibility for others and rarely slowing down
- Navigating grief or significant life transitions
- Experiencing persistent tension, physical discomfort or stress related pain
- Wanting a slower, embodied approach to healing
- Feel the need to be held and nurtured in a safe space where you can completely unwind
What happens?
During your first session, we will spend a little time in dialogue to establish your needs, boundaries and challenges. We will negotiate touch and pressure and will work around any overly sensitive areas or discomfort.
You will be treated - fully clothed - on a massage table where I will support you to feel as comfortable as possible. The session begins with gentle touch - often beginning at the feet and progressing through the body. You might have particular areas of tension - such as the head, back, chest or lower spine - and as a therapist, I will create space that enables your body to explore the root causes of these.
We will keep verbal communication to a minimum and allow the body’s wisdom to shine.
What will you feel?
You might feel deeply relaxed after a session (some people fall asleep during the work and that’s OK!) You might feel rested and that can come with a fresh mental clarity. You may experience insights into situations that had previously seemed problematic or puzzling. You may notice a change in sensations that had been troubling you.
It is a good idea to leave space around a session so you can rest and allow the work to continue. Take a gentle walk in nature. Drink a herbal tea somewhere peaceful. Nap.
Like most therapies, Craniosacral has most impact over time. A series of healing sessions will allow your body to go beyond the surface symptoms and to make deep and lasting shifts.

About me / My journey
I trained as a Biodynamic Craniosacral practitioner in 2019 with The Karuna Institute in Dartmoor.
I came to this work following a serious mountaineering accident in New Zealand in 2006. The impact of the fall left my body in significant pain. My movement was restricted, and my sense of self confidence was also damaged. It was a challenging time, both physically and emotionally.
When I first heard about CST, I was initially sceptical about the subtlety of the work. How could someone tune into my spinal physiological system simply through touch? How could that meet the depth of suffering from the impact my body had experienced
However, the pain was so disturbing that I was willing to try. I’m so glad I did.
The changes were clear, impactful and immediate. Within a short space of time, my mobility returned in a way I had not imagined would be possible. The pain receded and over the next few sessions almost entirely abated. The power of those treatments and their impact on my quality of life inspired me to research, train and to learn as much as I could about this incredible healing modality.
Over the past 15 years my fascination with the moving body and its ability to heal, has continued to deepen. I am a dancer and teacher of Contact Improvisation and have trained as a Somatic Movement Educator. My practice is also influences by Buto, Skinner, release, Feldenkrais, Hanna semantics and authentic movement, as well as Five Rhythms and ecstatic dance. These practices have enabled me to meet my own physiology in an embodied way. I have developed my proprioceptive and kinesthetic senses of the body, all of which I enhance my ability to meet you deeply through deeply present listening touch
